The Club has received an invitation on behalf of Thunderbirds of Queensland to
visit the Pine Valley Miniature Railway at 122 Warner Rd, Brendale. The
railway is owned and operated by the Queensland Society of Model and
Experimental Engineers (QSMEE) and attendance on running days is by
invitation only.
Running days are on the second Sunday of each month except August. We
are booked to attend as a group on SUNDAY 10 MARCH 2024. We have been
asked to please remember that the track is on private property and a
pre-purchased ticket is necessary to keep control of visitor numbers and
ensure enjoyment by all.
The track layout is primarily ground level with over of 2,000 metres of
7¼” and 5″ track. Features on this circuit are a steel “Missingweld
Bridge”, two timber bridges and three tunnels. Strictly enforced is the
requirement of enclosed footwear. If you wish to ride a train open
footwear, such as thongs or open-toed sandals or shoes, is not allowed.
There is a canteen that can provide tea, coffee, soft drinks and
ice-creams, as well as a sausage sizzle for those wanting a hot snack at
lunch time. Or feel free to bring your own lunch.
No animals are allowed on site, except those providing assistance. There
is plenty of parking on site.
Entry is $15.00 (plus 50 cent transaction fee) per person to attend and
to enjoy unlimited train rides between 10.00am to 2.30pm; no charge for
children under 3 years of age.

We will meet at Shell Coles Express, 2 Linkfield Road, Brendale, at
10.30am and travel in convoy to the site. Bring your kids and
grandkids, they will love it!
