Airport InformationCoolangatta Airport is situated 20kms south of Surfers Paradise. This international airport provides access to the Gold Coast for visitors from all Australian capital cities, most large New Zealand cities, and most Asian cities via Cairns. Brisbane Airport is situated 90kms north of Surfers Paradise. As one of Australia's newest and largest airports, Brisbane Airport accommodates passengers from worldwide locations on many airlines. Hourly bus services run to the Gold Coast from approximately $35 one way. Trains also leave the airport regularly for the 90 minute trip to the Gold Coast, costing approximately $20 one way. Public TransportThe AirTrain provides several service options between Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast's largest taxi fleet is Regent Taxis, phone 131 008, fax 5588 1298. Surfside Buslines operate throughout the Gold Coast 24 hours a day. Road TravelSurfers Paradise is located 25kms north of the Queensland / New South Wales border and 80kms south of Brisbane City. Car hire is recommended for those who wish to investigate some of the many sites around South East Queensland. National Parks, Theme Parks, Wildlife Parks, Museums and rural attractions are all within an easy drive of the meet headquarters. The Gold Coast Hinterland contains world famous sceneries, including several World Heritage Listed areas. Springbrook National Park, containing waterfalls and many walks, is only 45kms away. Mt Warning, in the Tweed Valley, is the centre of a giant ancient volcano crater surrounded by rainforest and is only 65kms. Further afield are many more stunning and exciting attractions such as Byron Bay, Noosa, and the Great Dividing Range.
